What is a total oxidation sewage treatment plant?
It's a biological wastewater treatment system that complies with current environmental regulations. It replaces old-style septic tanks —which no longer meet the law— and safely treats domestic wastewater before releasing it back to the ground, protecting the aquifer and avoiding fines.
When do you need one?
It's a legal requirement for properties without access to mains sewage. Very common on rural land and isolated urbanisations in Jávea, Moraira, Benissa, Teulada, Benitachell and the inland Costa Blanca. If you have an old septic tank or are building on rural land, the law requires you to install a certified treatment plant.
